    Default MAAST dead as disco?

In our Feedback Forum at the bottom of the forums page Justin there is a thread where we have put numerous ideas and suggestions down on paper. We are also keeping a tally on what of those have been addressed. Just pointing that out in case it has been missed.

I haven't posted in a long time but I have been following along. One thing that is very evident is the type of responses this thread has gotten compared to the responses it would have gotten not too long ago. Positive. That in itself is a good sign and shows that we're on the right track.

We've had issues in the past with how grey the tou is and how a lot can be open to interpretation and it's the job of the current moderator team to decide what they think is right and wrong under their interpretation . The mods of today are different from last year when I was on and different form two years before and the new faces allow for new perspectives which is always good.
Excellently stated, nano-dude. This little facet is the one piece that is often overlooked when folks start in about over moderation.

We used to state the actual code violation when sending the member a note, and I've always chafed against that piece of moderating. Seemed so impersonal, but perhaps I was wrong. In not doing so perhaps I've opened the door to a perception of a "police state" or "over moderation".

Of course this wasn't the intent, but maybe we should go back to the form letter responses?

Thanks Allan! Personally I always felt super awkward with form responses. I feel like they make more sense for national boards where you have no idea who the other person is. It's awkward with form responses when it's so robotic and then you meet the person in real life.
