The Vegas I think have been the best light as far as color that AI has produced. Tony which is Newbie on here has been moving corals from his 65 to the 190. The 65 has two Vegas and the corals look great including the Ricordia. A Ricordia he moved into the 190 under Hydra doesn't look that great nor does it look like the same Ricordia? The part that sucks is on one of his Vegas some of the LED's do not work and of course are out of warranty which is the part of the LED thing that is BS. But even with bad components the Vegas look better.

My frag tank is under a hydra and i agree, my display looks a whole lot better....

Great post Alton. There were times when I first joined that I thought were much worse than anything we've seen in the last few years. Ace got us back on a good track and we've benefited ever since.

I'm still impressed with the vertex fixture i had, very sad the day I sold it. that light fixture had the looks and growth of my old MH/t5 fixture that was about 720w of raw power. next large tank build I'll be buying a vertex, I'm running a hydra 26 now but I dislike that fake multi color look. corals pop but look so artificial.

I hate the heat but I'm so much happier going back to 250w halides. I still use LEDs for the blue supplements. But if 48" vho actinic bulbs weren't so hard to come by I would have stuck with mh/vho combo.

I have a radion pro and I'm planning on getting two more for my next build. I love the color I get with them, but it took me close to 6 months to dial them in right for it though...
