    Default Copper question?

I would use salinity 1.016 and fresh water dip STAY AWAY from COPPER
But you have to take the time to properly acclimate to the lower salinity

I have done it before but it's a pain to bring it back up at a slow rate

    Default Copper question?

Yea but the fish's life is more important than the time it takes to bring salinity up or down IMHO

    Default Copper question?

Bare I bought a tank from Walmart and heater didn't use carbon filters either just water changed a lot to make sure the water was pristine but I did use the Hob filter it came with and I bought a 4inch elbow (PVC ) and sterilized the tank elbow and hob once a week

Thank you for the How To on FW dipping. Will help out here soon.

Dont listen to me to much on the hypo, I personally wont do one, everyone is different. I suggest do your research on it and figure if it is a good suggestion or not. But yes, stay away from Copper. Once something is contaminated with copper, even if a QT tank, it stays that way, and hard to get out. Copper kills inverts and corals.

Also raise the temps in your WT about 4 degrees; this will kick up their metabolism and help then eat more and fight off the ick quicker
