One of these...I typically don't drive racecars that have doors, but in this case we decided to make an exception. It's a lot harder to drive than my dragster because it is harder to see out of...I may stick to the cars I'm more comfortable in and my bro or dad will drive this one. We are not running a supercharger like this one....I'll get some pics of the car with the new paint job, it's pretty sick.

We race locally sometimes but travel too. Two of our cars are in Memphis this weekend...my dad and bro are driving. I decided to stay home and chill...three days of racing is exhausting. The dragster is easy to drive since its about 25 feet long, but these short wheelbase cars are a totally different beast...better have your big girl panties on with the short cars.

Yup...big engines are nice. We are running a 665 cubic inch motor in this car, that's about 11 liters for any ricer/import guys. Big motor, big power, lots of maintenance.

Do ya'll tear down and inspect the engine after every run? Or only when something lets go?

There are certain things we check after every pass. Valvetrain especially, sometimes a leak-down check, look for metal particles in the oil filter, we look at a bunch of data after every pass, depends on how the run went. We usually know what the car is going to run to within about +/- .01 seconds....if its far off of that we may tear it down further depending on how much time we have. Feels like work but it's fun to drive a car that'll scare the **** out of you.
