Actually, it's pretty common knowledge. I used to work in a frame shop out of high school and the oldies there used to do that with the over sized glass. You just have to make sure your landing surface is completely clean. I can only imagine how much one of theses large pieces cost.

I was referring to the *1st* individual who EVER let the glass fall. Way back before the industry picked it up & started the manufacturing processes.

I was going way back.

Much like the surprise of the first guy who accidentally or experimentally COOKED his meat instead of eating it raw....
