That's pretty cool. Not much of a price difference between a normal heatsink either. FWIW, you don't solder the LEDs to the heatsink, you use either thermal adhesive or you can drill and tap the heatsink with thermal compound. On a side note, they do have solderless LEDs as well though.

So where do I get the kit and how does it compare to my MH for my Sps? Louis at ER has got my dream tank w stand and is helping w my dream custom tank project.... Are leds even worth considering? Sorry, have just read Alot of mixed reviews.....

Well it takes more than just lights.......

Lights play a big factor.... But so does good husbandry.

I personally wouldn't do DIY LEDs for 2 reasons...

1. They look like DIY, unless your really nifty..

2. I like to keep as much guess work out of anything I do, I'd rather pay more for plug in and play with a product that has some R&D behind it..
