    Default Biocube 29 sump mod

I have a biocube 29 and I would like to figure out a way to add a 10 gallon sump anyone have any ideas on how I could go about setting it up. I'm not to sure how I could add an overflow box to the biocube setup.

I have seen pictures online where people have removed the false wall and drilled the back. Then put the fuge in the stand underneath.

That sounds interesting ill have to look into that. The only problem I see with it is that the tank is already up and running so it would be difficult to remove the wall.

I have removed all of the guts on my biocube, and so has hobogato. My back pane is drilled and I have a sump underneath in the stock stand. I am installing my new turf scrubber today, so I will end up later with only a calcium reactor, Auto Top Off, and Algal Turf Scrubber in my sump. I may mess around later with something else in there as well. A skimmer won't be needed, but an under tank sump is a good place for one.

Yes, it is a pain in the rear to do it with water, sand and livestock in it. I'll be breaking mine down even further soon so that it will be exactly like aces'.

I was thinking of putting a hob overflow box in the middle chamber with a return line going into the third chamber but I'm not sure how well it would work.

I think I have a Essops NIB nano overflow in the garage. Was going to set it up in a JBJ 28 it fit the center chamber after taking the basket out. Went a different route though set up a 70 instead.

Check out post number 18 on this Austin Reef Club thread. It's of my 29 gallon biocube that I had drilled when I was living in Austin. I had a guy drill it for me while full with corals and live stock in the tank. The bulk head was drilled in the bottom backside of chamber three. I just drained the back chambers. I then installed an "L" fitting facing up for the water to flow down into the refugium. I cut a small half circle into the back of the hood so the return PVC pipe could go through then used a small flexible hose to attach to the stock return nozzle. If you have any other questions or need help let me know.

Is that NIB nano a hang on back overflow?

Click my build thread in my sig. I run a HOB overflow in the 3rd chamber. I also added a HOB Skimmer in the first chamber. The second chamber I made a cryptic fuge and put live rock rubble in it.

See my build thread and it might help spark some ideas. I have tons of pics.
