Back in 2003 I was getting about the same results 100 to 160 gallons before the DI was used up. Richard from CB Pets on the other hand who was using the same DI resin was getting 800+. Today mine last much longer because my water district is getting its water from a different source. What was in it then and why you are having the same issue today I am not sure of?

Yea that's what the rep told me, he gets about 800 gallons before the resin is toast. Can I just buy some or the re-fillable resin or do I have to buy the whole spectrapure cartrige?

Look to see if one end of the DI cartridge unscrews. If it does, then it's refillable. I believe all/most Spectrapure DI carts are refillable.

I found that out on the ones I had. And it probably would not hurt to try a different brand, you never know?
