    Default Melted plastic on MH

I know i cant be the only one that has done this...
I left a coral bag floating in the tank, it ended up touching the MH blub and now the house smells of burnt plastic.
What should i do to get the plastic off the bulb, i dont want it to smell everytime the light turns on?

your prob going to need a new bulb. it could crack due to hot spot, kinda like when you get a finger print on them

    Thanks for the heads up.
Do you think it might just crack or is there a chance it could POP.

That glass is a uv shield on most bulbs. It will crack or explode with a hot spot like Chris said. It should probably be replaced.
