nutrients are constantly being released so I don't think your coral will starve with a larger skimmer. I ran a sea side aquatics cs-1 rated for 150g on my 70g. I now run the cs-2 rated for 230 on my 150.
I like running a bigger skimmer than needed. are there any other skimmers your thinking of Lucky??
