a pump that is rated for up to 500g, would be stretching in a narrow 4ft tank. I was under the impression that it was a really strong pump and i would have to tone back the power to have it in a 4ft tank. And putting 2 mp40s would be overkill, I know that you can never have to much flow, But you can have un-needed flow that you didn't have to pay for. Koralias are great, but I have to have 4 evo1400 in my current 55g, just to get the flow I wanted.

For what it is worth, I am running one mp40 on my 120g that is 4' X 2' X 2'. I think I have enough flow and like Lorraine said if you have the rock set up right it is fine. With that said, I am planning on adding a 2nd mp40 in the near future just because I want more flow. I am also contemplating just adding a mp10 to the back glass.

The mp40's have a lot of flow, but it's so dispersed it doesn't feel like 3000 gph at 100%. I ran 1 mp40 on my 75g in-wall sps tank. Since I can view the tank from the back, I was able to see considerable flow behind the rocks when using short pulse mode. The back and forth action pretty much eliminated dead spots and there was a nice under current that kept particles suspended.
