    Wood came from www.manzanita.com. It will leach tannins for a few weeks. The downside to the black substrate is that the lighter discus pepper. I don't mind it at all, but purists do. I was going to do some tank work this weekend and get a few new shots, but my snakeskins decided to lay eggs. Don't want to bother them right now.

    Thanks for that link, they have some great pieces, especially for those prices! I remember when I set up my 29g planted tank a few years ago and the wood I put in there leached for what seemed like months. This has me wanting to set up something around 75 to 100g size.

    Well, they are laying eggs. Just can't seem to see if they make it thru the larval stage.
