It depends on what type of fishing and how much you want to spend...I've done the Jon boat and it makes me alittle nervous on the bay...key would be to stay on the flats or jump out and wadefish if you have 3 or 4 people...I have a small scooter boat and it fits my needs for both the local lakes and bay...it can't handle big chops but its a nice ride...I can offer up a ride next time I go out if you want to get a feel on what to look for...I've done minor tune up stuff but other than that I leave it to the experts....
