Jury Duty

I've been summoned as a Juror and Subpoenaed as an expert witness for trial on the same case at the same time. Judge wouldn't excuse me, made me sit through the whole ordeal and forced the defense to strike me.

It's not like they were fresh out of jurors. The judge knew you would make a great juror for the state while the defense had to scramble and find a new expert. Good example of judges having too much power. I've seen them do some heinous things, things that would make most men blush.

I JUST GOT SERVED A SUBPOENA TO APPEAR IN COURT ON AUGUST 19!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a witness? Call before you show up. Typically the date of appearance is the date trial starts. The actual day they need you could be several days away. They still have to pick a jury, etc.
