No kidding. Soccer to me is so wussified. They cry about the smallest little slide tackles just to get a penalty. Granted the NBA is kinda like that now days (which I'm not too big of a fan anymore), but these guys literally act like they got a limb cut off....drama X10. It's also hard to watch. The lack of scoring, huge playing field, and often lack of shots really drain the excitement. I remember watching indoor soccer as a kid though and being somewhat interested...at least there was action and they scored.

Football and hockey is non-stop full contact action to me. Regarding football's time in between plays (which don’t bother me at all) it adds to the anticipation of the next play and gives them time to call and set up the next play...plus there are often no huddles at the end of the game.

It's just a different lifestyle I suppose, and what you grew up with definitely plays a factor. Even baseball has more things going on than soccer - but I could understand a comparison on the tempo and logistics. Honestly, I'd rather watch water polo and lacrosse (sports I played in H.S. - great to play but ok to watch) than soccer. Only time I watch is the World Cup because of the novelty and to see if maybe I could get into it...I can't. God bless the USA and the NFL. Hopefully we will have a season this year but I'm getting concerned. Otherwise it's gonna be a long Winter.
