    Default Koa's 93g Cube

    Hey Guys,

    So heres my tank. I'm trying to keep this build as simple as possible. The tank has only been up for about a month so nothing to exciting right now.

    Goods:
    -93g Marineland Cube
    -Custom Stand
    -15g Marineland tank for the sump
    -5g rubber maid tub for external fuge
    -JBJ auto top off
    -250w Giesemann Pendant (temporary until i purchase another pendant)

    Goods soon to come:
    -SWC 160 cone skimmer
    -Hamilton pendant
    -Koralias
    -Reef Keeper

    Live Stuff:
    -50lbs Marco Rocks (best dry rock ever)
    -90lbs sand
    -Fire fish x2
    -Neon Goby
    -Cleaner Shrimp

    This cube is awesome
    Setup is real nice and clean can't wait to c it with coral

    I love my Marineland cube but geesh their plumbing is noisy! lol

    Yeah they normally are but my cube runs almost dead silent. Its all about finding the right drain speed. The only noise i have is from the mag pump in the sump. I have it padded so the pump isn't on the glass but the mags are just noisy in general.

    That's interesting. Might have been my problem then: I am running it closed loop without powerheads so I need it to drain as fast as possible. Had to remove the Marineland drain and replace it with an All Glass drain for my purposes.

    The Firefish will be pretty. Are you adding a Mesh top?

    So what corals do you plan to keep

    Thanks. I like firefish even though they are one of the biggest beginner easy fish. I'm definately going to be adding a mesh top to the tank. I just have to get around to building it.

    Thanks for the comment. The tank is pretty much going to be all SPS with a few clams and one of my RBT's, at least that is the plan for right now.


    Ill start taking more pictures as soon as i figure out how to use my girlfriends new nikon. I know a lot about reef tanks but absolutely nothing about photography so we will see
