Has anybody seen tanks lid with LED colors other than white/blue?
I am really into the mood lighting thing ever since the shadow box. I was watching the mandarins doing their little spawing dance and the only light left was the greenish glow from the shadow box.
wertheimber just mentioned the golden glow in his thread. That's really what that greenish glow from the shadowbox reminds me off.
I love it. I think it's perfect.
My big Caribbean Reef tank is lit with T5s but the little seahorse tank will get LEDs.
I already ordered all of the components. All of them except the actual LEDs...
I just can't make up my mind
My Caribbean reef still has a lot of blue in it. I was looking for a feeling/mood rather than best coral fluorescence and all that technical stuff.
I wanted it to feel like a diving adventure in the Caribbean.
With the seahorse tank I'd love to get an even more laid back feeling. Like exploring the seagrass 'forests' in an estuary. Something really green comes to mind.
I know I don't want cool whites. But in addition to the neutral whites and royal blues, should I play it save and just add some warm whites? Or venture out and put a couple of greens in the very back to see if I can 'fake' a shadowbox glow? Or do you think it would be obvious and goofy looking?
What do you suggest? And if you have any examples with picture of tank lit with anything other than blue/white I'd love to see them!
