I was thinking the same and almost wrote it but decided it might sound too cheesy. Troy Valentine is not just super nice, he has an awesome superhero name. lol

Ha ha, you called me cheesy ;-)

His name does sound like he would be a character in the adventures of Allan Quartermain.

The best gift i ever received was knowledge and advance from Mr. shedd aka Ace! he was my teacher last year and this year. i couldn't tell you the days i would go to school early just to sit in his room and ask him questions about the school set up. He always answered every question and never complained. Then he helped me get my first fresh water tank and for days i would ask him questions about that and then this year i bought his dads saltwater setup and he's help me every set of the way. With out him i probably would have never had a tank. I just wanted to say thank you again Ace and thank you to all the masstards who have helped me with out even knowing it by sharing your knowledge on this web site.

also a big thank you mrs.z78pwr for the awesome zoas and letting me walk out with alot more then what i paid for and for being so nice

    Let's see...

    1. Back before my brief hiatus (3-4 years ago), someone in Borne sent me a refractometer. I wish I knew who sent it! I'd love to thank them with some frags.

    2. Support from other members, i.e. free frags!!! Thanks guys.

    3. The MAAST team. Presidents, VPs, BODs, MODs and members come and go but it's good knowing that they put in their time and effort to keep this site running smoothly.

    4. Friendship. I met the bestman for my wedding on MAAST.

Wow, I'm kinda feeling left out here. Y'all can make it up at the next meeting. I'll take a RKE with all the bells and whistles.

Seriously it's been the friendships, camaraderie, knowledge and advice.

You knew you weren't going to get any straight single answers right?

This group in general has been a huge blessing for me. I have a made a lot of life long friendships through MAAST and lots of fish and coral have been saved through the group as a whole.

I can run down the list in my head of people that have helped me out and hooked me up and the list goes on and on. The generosity of Hobogato, Texreefer and Bstreep when I first joined this site was priceless. They all hooked me up with macro, corals and equipment which had a huge impact on my willingness to participate and made me feel welcomed in the club. Ha...the days when I stared at rock waiting for any sign of life. Good times.

-Joelb gave me a killer deal on the 144g half circle and dropped the darn thing off before I even paid him!!! You the man Joel!
-Jack, what can I say, I put him to work every time he comes over. Sometimes I even leave him in the garage and go inside to eat. HAHAHA! Nah, Jack you da man too! Thanks for all your help over the years! Sorry I moved on you man...lol, you're probably rejoicing! Free at last! When we gonna hook up that RO/DI...LOL!!!!!
-Kevin, hooked me up with some of my favorite corals! Let's not forget about all the advice I've gotten from you! Thanks man.
-Justin....loaned me a backpack skimmer, well gave it to me and I thought that was so generous....passed it on to Jack to use. That skimmer rocked for me!

The reef keeping advice from the member's of MAAST has been by far the greatest gift. Seriously....I was a bit lost before MAAST, so that has been the greatest gift.
