Madagascar hissing cockroach?
It's your pet, or food for your pet? Does it still hiss?
They're so gross... yet so fascinating.
First time I went to touch one of those, I knew they'd hiss when poked at. They were in a tiny kritter kripper, and I reached in that little square hole on top.
As my hand approached them, one of them moved, and I freaked! They didn't even hiss, but I jerked back with a yelp. My hand flared out in panic, so it was trapped in the little box and it got flung around still attached to my hand. Roaches bounced around inside and I was kind of laughing and screaming at the same time.
Once I calmed down enough to remove my hand from the box trap, I poked at the roaches so often they got used to me and stopped hissing.
