Our fish systems will operate much on the same principle of that of 'Diver's Den' on Liveaquaria.com... except that the systems will actually be LARGER than the largest online retailer of quarantined, pest/disease-free fish AND our prices will be better!

That is a monster statement. Hope it is accurate!

    Yes. Accurate.

Liveaquaria typically offers around 100 quarantined fish at any given time. We plan to offer more than this once everything is complete. And ours prices are already better... hands down!

Looks awesome, I am going to have to drive down to Corpus again. Hey I got it have another MAAST meeting again? And I can attest GC REEF prices are much better than live aquaria and there corals and fish are very nice. And there hatchery is great also.

    no. it is inaccurate.

not to be argumentative, but the divers den fish systems alone total over 6000 gallons. and while there are approximately 100-120 fish at any given time posted on the diver's den pages, there are many more being quarantined, medicated, prepared for sale.

as i understand it, you plan on having as much-if not more, livestock available for sale as la's diver's den, but the system itself is nowhere near as large.

as for the prices, well there is no question, they are phenomenal.

    Alex,

Seeing as how another MAAST sponor is essentially your second home and you sing their praises quite often on this board, I feel at the very least, since you are a board member that there is a conflict of interest here… because as a result, in reading your post, I do believe it was your intention to be argumentative.

Regardless, I will address your concern as it brings up a chance for me to clarify a few things:

What I was referring to when I said our system will be larger; I meant the production (number of fish being offered) of our systems will be larger. While our total system may be less (at least for now… we have a massive 12ft raceway tank that can be brought online at any time as well), in my many conversions with Ray and company at Liveaquaria, their system in much less than 6000gal for diver’s den fish (unless they’ve added more in the last couple weeks) and that much of this water is held in large sumps (therefore no fish in the majority of the water).

We will have smaller sumps with plenty of filtration and HUGE skimmers to maintain ideal water quality that we test daily. This will allow us to house more fish than the typical 80-120 specimens that Diver’s Den offers. It is also important to remember that these systems I have posted pictures of are only a fraction of the other tanks we use for quarantining and holding quarantined fish!

Alex, how do you think our fish get to be treated and quarantined? Obviously we will also have many more being quarantined, medicated and prepared for sale

Another important difference to remember is that we allow walks-ins and the ability for people who are not interested in having fish that are fully treated and quarantined to buy fish. Therefore, it’s possible that as walk-in demand for our fish continues to increase we may not offer more fully treated fish than Diver’s Den on our website but that is our intention right now.

I guess one thing we can agree on is our prices for these treated fish.

    Thanks for your concerns.
