    Default Coral Farm in Virginia

    I had the privledge today to view something very cool. I am currently in Virginia Beach. I had some freetime so I looked up LFS' in the area. While I was looking I found the following site http://www.atlanticseafarms.net This is not a retail location but a true coral farm in a greenhouse. Using the sun's powerful rays he setup about five 600 gallon troughs filled with coral. He said he gets excellent growth and that heat is not issue because of the size of the tanks. He also told me there are only a handful of these greenhouses in the entire country. It was very fascinating.
    The cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears, or the sea.

    I'll be up in VA mid april. Would I be able to swing by and visit?

    I didn't get any pics but there are a few on the site. Give him a call. He was a super nice guy.

    wow, live sand dollars. I wonder how long they would live. Those are the kind of things I'd like. You don't see those in every tank like other things...but then again, maybe there's a reason why, lol.
