Aim it at the surface, Ive got my 2 babies in a 10g with a MJ600 and a 200gph HOB and they LOVE the flow. Also they are SUPER picky with what they will eat, I have found that they absolutely LOVE and scarf down Mysis shrimp over any other type of food.
