Default GCR "tank-raised" Seahorses COMING SOON!!!!

    Hey Everyone,

That is right! We are some breeding crazies down here at GCR in Corpus Christi! First, we brought you GCR Onyx Clowns!!!! Now, we have our first male brazilian seahorse that is pregnant, H. Reidi, and he looks like he is about to pop! ( SEE pics below)

As with all broodstock, many things can happen, but with much care and caution, we look to have some new babies very soon! As many of you already know, a seahorse may have up to 200 babies! We have already moved the male to his own tank, taken all precautions, and as with the feeding of our baby clowns, we have loads of artemia and rotifers ready to be eaten!

NOW, does this give you aquarists up in San Antonio and Austin enough reason to take the trip down to see us???? HAHA, just kidding, there are just some really awesome things going on at GC Reef, signs that the store is maturing, and you guys, our customers, are really supporting us which allows us to do the things we love to do! Coming up next, we have broodstock of Picasso Clowns, dottybacks, bangaii cardinals amongst other things!

PICS OF THE PREGNANT MALE SEAHORSE>>>>>>>>>>

LOL. I read this and immediately turned around to see how a seahorse tank would fit into my dining room.;)
Good luck with the babies. Did anything come of the Lonestar Overnight thing?

    Karin,

We are now offering Lonestar Overnight although I do not have the specifics on pricing, but I know it is less expensive than FedEx...I will get back to you on that one.

James and Dr. Mark were meeting with Lonestar a few weeks ago to discuss pricing and related info, I will let you know by Monday.

But, since you are such a great MAAST member and remarkable aquarist, you let me know when and what you want to order and I promise I will get it to you. I really need to get up to Jason at Aquarium Designs in SA, so your delivery can be my excuse and urgent motivation for the trip!

    Let me know!

    Michael

I don't think that would be a good idea. Better to spend my own money and keep him guessing at how much all that stuff really is. Right now most things I buy are either "50 bucks" or "I traded it for something I didn't need"

HAHA, so much the same here! If my wife only knew, but thing is, she is getting much smarter at this stuff as she loves the hobby more and more! Could be good and bad!

Eh -- I did the same thing with my wifey when we first got started.... then as time went on, she got really into it as well, which led to her paying more attention... now she doesn't bat an eye at all when I swipe $500 over at Gabe's ;)

"Wow, that skimmer's only $350? Thats a steal"

    Thats my baby!
