Default New Tank at La Palmera Corpus Christi

The cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears, or the sea.

    Crazy big... 4,500-gallons

...wish they would make it a reef with live corals!

I saw them installing some lights over the big tank yesterday. They were using halides in lumenmax reflectors. Never have I seen a reflector look so small. Also, the 375g tank is kind of disappointing. If wal mart sold 375g tanks, this would be it.

Idk, I'm not much of a fan of freshwater tanks, maybe that has something to do with it..

I would love to see some pictures of the filtration on this thing! Can you imagine doing water changes! 20% would be 900 gallons!

Squiers no kidding. Even a 10% water change is a ton of water. Glenn I am not a fan of the fresh water either. I had a planted tank and I would never find myself looking at it. It was fun feeding the fish mosquito larvae.

So I was watching the news this morning and they had a little piece on this tank again. Guess what kind of fish they are putting in there! Cichlids! This is not going to be a saltwater tank at all! I hate when people use fake corals in freshwater tanks, simply ridiculous.

    Deflated like a balloon. :(

At the coast they are putting a F/W setup. Bah.

I liked the fact they are using "farm raised fish" but I just wish they were SW!
