Sweet, I picked up some carbon today. I had the dang sacks though. I will need to figure out another method for holding the carbon. I am thinking a tray with a very fine mesh bottom, kind of like a gold panning pan.

it is easy to use carbon in the string-tie bags, or in a fine micron filter where your overflow line comes into the sump, you could even use a small canister filter just for the carbon. Another possibility is a small phosphate reactor with carbon in it. All very easy ways.
There are two issues with their toxins and sps. The in the water one addressed with carbon etc. AND if they touch an sps.
Leathers can kind of move around some. I've seen the yellow ones kill an sps colony in part of a day.

Killed my first coral in 1991, have tried to do better since. Always tricky.
When my big Toad sheds he clogs the overflow sometimes, let that rap around a LPS or SPS hes done :(

I have leathers too but I'm trying to keep it small.
It was shedding too these passed few days. They looked closed and shortened.
(Finger Leather) Then yesterday it shed and opened up again.
What does everyone think of carbon?
Being into freshwater for years, I wouldn't use carbon because I had discus and other fish that were susceptible to hole in the head disease.
In my freshwater tank, I would only use carbon to get rid of medication.
Since I'm fairly new with saltwater, I'm not sure how you guys think about carbon.
