FL Vacation

Going on a vacation in May to FL with my bf for about 6days..We are going to travel the whole state and make it all the way to the Keys..any advice for places to visit? (snorkeling/collecting/fish stores/ restaurants)..we took our fist road trip there last year.....That was more on a whim and not much money but it was so much fun(bout 3wks ahead of time)...We will be a little more prepared this time...Any suggestions help.

if in Tampa/clear water/st Pete go to the international mall lots of good restaurants/clubs there

more then likely you will see a lot of the buccaneers/ yankees/ devil ray players there

yeah we visited the clear water beach...very pretty...only stayed a few hours tho... like I said very short notice trip and we wanted to go as many places as we could..Are you from FL? What are some original restaurants you can only find there?

I was working in Tampa for six weeks last fall. Mike and I went to Key West for the weekend and had some great snorkeling (and the snorkeling was really inexpensive too). There were some good local fish stores, especially over in St. Pete. Just interesting to compare livestock selection, etc.

For local restaurants, one of my favorites was a locally franchised BBQ place called Lee Roy Selmon's, excellent southern cooking. We ate there several times and everything we tried was absolutely amazing!

I also HIGHLY recommend Lee Roy Selmon's. I grew up in Tampa and go back now and then to visit my brother and try to hit that place every time. The cheese & bacon grits, cornbread casserole, and BBQ are AWESOME!!! And you have to finish it off with some peach cobbler, bread pudding, or pecan pie with milk!

i honestly had a party life out there and didn't get to truly enjoy Tampa for what i like to do now.... we plan on going back this summer to fish/snorkel/ and of course visit the car scene

my best advise would would be aimed towards clubs/drinking and gambling if you have ?'s on those topic i could help you out lol

Well Gseclipse...We're gonna be in Miami for a whole day..know of anything for the night scene down there? We dont wanna get too carried away there...just a nice chill place to have a couple of drinks....
