    Welcome to MAAST Justin!

Read a ton right now and go slow to plan the reef the right way the first time. We are doing tank tours in a couple of weeks and I highly recommend that you tag along and listen, ask questions, make notes of the things that you like so you can plan a reef that will best support that.

Introduce yourself to other reefers at the fish stores. My husband and I are always happy to sit and talk reef and appreciate the newbies that are looking to learn. Feel free to ask questions.

Read some more! And have patience.

this is a friendly website... my advice is do research everybody does things in different way, there is hundreds of choices from light, sand type, sump, skimmer, lots of reading needed. what works for some doesnt work for others.
first off let us know what you already have and what type of coral/fish do you want to keep

thanks, i'll keep that in mind, i work with "sampsonndelila" who's been a big help. I just wish my wife would help alittle more, meaning she has a degree in marine biology from northwest FL. she's just not interested anymore. i'm hooked, just unable to drive due to medical condition. maybe i'll tag along with Carter
