    Default White algae

I have milky white fine algae growing on my rocks. I has spread at a medium rate and doesnt get over a 1/4 inch long. I can't find and ID through google and not sure how to react. Sorry, I can't get a picture with my camera due to the color.

I know calcareous aglae turns white if calcium is overdosed, but this starts out white. Could it be a fungus?

I had some on my new rock after a week or 2, it went away on it's own. Also, it might be green hair algea with substrte dust on it.

Sounds like a bacterial film or fungus from die off on the rock.
