chillers ??

I have this guy stuffed in my canopy blowing across the top of the water. It was $39 at wall mart.I have it tied to a temp controller. on if temp is above 77.8 off if below that temp.I have three 400w halides with actinics and my sump is lit with 4 36" t5's. I keep the ac at 78, every once & awhile 77. Works like a charm

That fan is a monster. Must have huge topoff requirements. Nice you can get away without a chiller.
I, unfortunately, have three chillers.
On the 214gal is a 1/2hp Deltastar
On the 115gal is a 1/4hp Current Prime
On the 34gal is a 1/10hp Current Prime.

I think chiller is the way to go. There have been many stories about failed a/c and loss of tanks.
