Since you have run both Barebottom and with A DSB What do you prefer from your exp?

BB without a doubt, no maintenance, powerheads fall off the wall and you don't care because there's no sand storm, snails can all turn themselves over, lower nutrients, cleaner water, you can just pitch a frag in the tank and it'll grow where it lands... lol... so many benefits. Having said that I put a shallow sand bed in this new 190 and I'm still wondering what the heck I was thinking, not sure why I did it but I'll bet money it'll be gone within a year.

He has none of those tanks running as far as I know. I wish I had pics of all my tanks over the years.

I think that 250 lbs of fresh rock I put in there is finally done curing or getting close to it, most pieces smell pretty fresh now. Unfortunately I only have about 100 in the display and the rest in the sump, I bought way too much rock and need to get rid of some now. :? Not much to update on the tank, since the rock was curing and I finished the skimmer build I just kinda let it sit and been hunting every weekend since it's December. All that is winding down now so soon I'll get my RBTA out of the Biocube and get a bunch of snails for the 190 and a sandbed charge kit. Who's got the good sandbed starters now days?

Hey Jerry! That was a good little tank and one of the most simple to maintain that I've ever had.

None, they're all long gone. All I've got right now is a 14 gallon Biocube which I kept solely to hang on to my RBTA, and of course the 190 which is currently in startup phase.

I still haven't hung the lights or stained the doors and built some sort of canopy, but the tank is officially up and running. I decided to start a new thread for it: http://www.maast.org/forums/showthread.php?p=647489
