Oh, by the way, Biden is the Dems top expert on the Jud Comm. He needs to go back to law school and review Articles 1 & 2 and see if he want to change his answer. I wounder if his admisssion that he was dead wrong will be as forcable as his answer. And this guy smoked Palin? Not really, when you give ten on their face wrong answers.

Who won the debate is subjective and meaningless.

Most claimed Kerry won the debate in the last election, and what did
    that get him?

    I thought this was humorous:

A candidate for president should not be judged by the color of his skin. And to - and to anyone who thinks differently, I say, please do not reject John McCain just because he's white. I think the recent news from Wall Street has made us all less tolerant, and only reinforced the stereotype that white people are shiftless, thieving welfare queens.

Now, take a look at the CEO's of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG and the Lehman Brothers. I know the first thing that jumps out about these faces is they all happen to be white, and they all happen to be responsible for stealing. But, what you have to understand is that these whites are a product of a society that made them that way.

It was the neighborhoods and the schools they went to: Harvard, Yale, the Wharton School of Business.

They never learned the value of doing real, actual work. And the first step to fixing that is better role models so kids growing up white today don't think the only way out of Westchester is corporate crime.

Or a government handout. Or sailing.

So, I get it. The temptation is to look at McCain and vote against him because you don't see an individual; you just see another typical welfare "whitey."

And it's true. He spent his entire life shuffling from one low-paying government job to another. Well, except those years he spent in prison. Typical. And, between you and me, he's not very articulate.

Oh, he may have some street smarts, but he's not what you'd call an "educated" man. He freely admits he's ignorant about the economy. And apparently the only thing his white running mate knows how to do is crank out one baby after another.

And now, of course, her teenage is pregnant out of wedlock, because she learns it at home!

But, that doesn't mean we should assume all white people are like that just because so many of them are. I believe there is hope. I believe even the stupidest, greediest, laziest whites can break the cycle of dependence, like this November when we finally move George Bush out of public housing.

hmmm to each his/her own, but

Republicans, wants you to make money so they can tax you
Democ rats, dont want you make money, so they can give you the money they stole from the working people, so you can vote for them

Republicans wants you to own weapons, is after all your right
Democ rats, will take your guns so they can impose their will on you, with guns

Republicans wants you get your own health care and pay for it yourself, so you can have the best health care you can pay for.
Democ rats will give you free health care and will be pay by those who work

Republicans wants you to have money, so you can buy stuff you want and dont need so you can pay taxes, but you buy it because you want it
Democ rats dont want you have money, they will give you food stamps to buy the bear necessities and the working people will pay for your free food

Republicans want you to own your own business so you can hire people, make money and prosper
Democ rats dont want you to own anything, after all if you did they will redistribute the money you are making

on the debate, Joe was a well versed professional politician with 35 yrs of experience
Sarah is not a professional politician, and some how she is faulted for that.

anybody who opens a business wants to make as much money as they can possibly make, why do Democ rats think they can take part of that money and give it to those that did nothing to deserve it.

The American dream is to prosper, have and achieve anything you want, but it takes hard work and dedication.

the Democ rats dont believe in that, they just want to rule over you.

How sad to see that some people believe in the democ rats lies and cant seem to be able to truly understand what this country is all about.

yes both parties are at fault here, but at least the Republicans dont want to turn this wonderful country of ours into a socialist regime.

oh yeah unless you have serve in this country military forces and have seen first hand how the mightiest Armed force in the world is humiliated by democ rats, you just dont understand, so dont comment on it.

+1 on that, I can't stand that guy. He was a second-rated comedian at best for most of his life and now he suddenly thinks he knows everything better than everyone else.

I don't think he's an idiot, but he's certainly inaccurate.

All the CEO's in the Wall Street fiasco are not, in truth, white, only the companies Mr. Maher decided to list. He failed to mention the CEO of Merrill Lynch, who is black, and happened to walk away from this with $150,000,000.

John McCain did not spend time in prison, unless one considers being a prisoner of war in service of ones country as "spent time in prison". Also, another interesting fact for Mr. Maher is, the reason John McCain isn't much of a speaker and comes off as "not very articulate" is probably because McCain seems so stiff when he speaks. The stiffness is a result of being tortured when he "spent time in prison" and no longer has the full range of motion of his arms as a result of being hung by them. I guess if McCain had left the prison when the opportunity was given him (because of his family position), instead of electing to stay for years with his fellow soldiers, he would be a better speaker.

His running mate's only qualification clearly isn't "cranking out one baby after another". I fail to understand that logic. Everyone of us on this forum has a mother who "cranked out a baby". Clearly, Mrs. Palin is qualified. Her track record in Alaska of reducing goverment and increasing personal wealth of it's citizen's speaks for itself. She has ~90% approval rating for a reason. One can manipulate her accomplishments as much as they wish, but again, she is an elected official with a unmatched approval rating.

But to Mr. Maher's credit, one doesn't has to be accurate when one is trying to be funny.

Maher cannot tell the differance between black and white, if he thinks thats it all white guys running Wall Street. The guy who made 90 million at Fannie Mae was not white. In fact, its his booking practices that caused this mess that we are all in. The same guy is Obama's "economic advisor." McCain point this out years ago, but Barney Frank and others said there no problem there. Of course not, too much money flowing out of the place into that Dem's war chests. Now you have a Nationalized Mortgages, Investment Banks being converted into Commerial Banks (a huge mistake, think 1929, thats why they passed Glass-Steagel) And soon to a Doctor near you, single payer socialized Medicial Care. I can hardily wait, or make that a long wait. If they really wanted to make Medical Insurance affordable the masses, all they have to do is required Community Rating, but wait the rich white guys at the health insurance companies do not like that, as that would lower their profits and thus their pay.

I think what we can say about all of the Wall Street type is, they are all Northeasteners, who look down on the rest of the country as they fly over to CA.

Just like to make you aware that sub-prime lending tactics became a standard under Reagan. Not siding up here, but facts are facts. Our current president wouldn't know his finger from a stick in the mud though, he is the puppet of all puppets. Like I said though not siding up, just don't like bush.

I challenge anyone voting for Obama to give us a specific example of what he is going to do to change this.. O' I know,, he specifically said he would raise taxes for Big oil companies to take more of their windfall profits,, well congratulations you and I are now paying more taxes on gas because those Big companies are going to pass that tax right on to us..... Genius plan!!!!.. I challenge you to name me one single piece of legislation that he has accomplished to show you he can get things done.. let me save you some time.. he has none, nothing, nada,.. he doenst know if he is Muslim or Christian. had jerimian wright for a pastor for 20 years, has associated with a known terrorist, was the second biggest recipient of earmarks from fanny and freddie that helped us get into our current economic condition.. WOW i think i just talked myself into voting for this guy.......NOT! This guy has one ambition.. to be president, he cares and knows nothing about this country. no before you go telling me all about why McCain would be a bad choice,, I agree. but in this case He is DEFINETLY the lesser of two evils. and since no one is going to change anyone elses mind.. this thread is pointless!

Again, not taking sides becuase I dont really think it matters who I vote for, but I do stay informed, and Obama is clearly a life long Christian, and his ties with a terrorist are manufactured. Your Current President and His father have had direct financial backing by osama bin ladens family for almost a quarter century. Osamas brother bail out 2 of GWB's busniess before they eventually went bankrupt prior to his purchase of the Texas Rangers. George H Bush, was in a morning breakfast meeting with one of osama bin ladens brothers at the carlyle group, were he is a board member the very day the Towers Fell. So you should speak lightly of Obamas relation to the "dark side" if you will. These are all researchable facts by the way. No double talk or slight of hand.
