    Default Mangroves

I'm thinking about doing a few mangroves, and was wondering where to get them since I'm looking for mangroves that are well developed and 2 feet tall...
    Any suggestions?

I have yet to see a place that sells Mangrove Trees bigger than 12". Also, what kind do you want? Black or Red mangroves. The Red are the most common, but they are slow growers. Black Mangrove trees grow the fastest but are harder to find. You might check Ebay and ask some of the mangrove tree sellers, but I don't think you'll find anything on the larger end for sale there.

I got two mangroves from B&B that were maybe 12inches and they grew fairly fast after they established roots. They were probably upto 18 inches and wouldn't grow any more due to the height of my light in the sump.

Red for sure. I found a place in Hawaii that has them up to 24", but wanted to see if anywhere local had them first.

The black mangroves do grow pretty quickly. I just threw a bunch of some seeds into one of my tanks, and most of them have sprouted and have 3 inch roots already. It was only a week ago.
