this seams to have all the same specs as the wavebox but it costs $225 new. can someone identify something that this doesn't do or have, or am i going to have to take one for the team and just do it??

I thought about one of those as well. I have a 10% coupon for ebay right now --- too tempting.
LOL....that is the way it works...I get something, then a couple of days later another cheaper model comes out....LOL...oh well I have a true and tested unit...but this definitely looks cool....If any of you get it....please share the results...
Looks neat....but its in Hong Kong....
And here is the worst part....Copy/Paste from that link.
Specification
Voltage 220 - 240 50Hz
Power 24V 50W Output
So if your running 110 at your tank...your noting going to have much luck...unless you rewire your power...Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...But at the same time...i may have just saved your $225 bucks...lol....Good luck to ya...

You also have to understand that the hard part isn't building the box or fitting a pump in it, it's finding a pump that can handle off and on every 2 seconds forever. Pumps don't like to turn off and on and that is what makes the Tunze wavebox so special.
Cool idea though if they could incorporate something cheap enough that if it broke you could just replace it. And of course finding something that just breaks and doesn't nuke your tank haha!

that sure is information that could have been useful YESTERDAY!! .....j/k thanks, how was the average joel suppose to know that?? i''m glad you guys had my back.
You can run a 100w step up transformer to power it for less than $15. This is not an endorsement by any means, but don't let simple electricity stop you.![]()

The video they posted looks like it operates in the same manner, but they either had it set way to fast/high, or it doesn't work well in the tank they had it setup in. It was rocking back and forth way to fast IMO.
I want a wave box pretty bad, but I am not a guinea pig on my budget.![]()
