    Does the kitty litter have iron in it because some parts of mineral mud stick to a magnet which would indicate iron. Let us know which kind of kitty litter to use & if you have done it already.

    Fresh or SW soak? If I had to guess, I'd soak SW.

    I used this and I have had it in my refug for about 5 months and I really like it so far. I have 5 mangroves, and a litle razor calurpa, and some chaeto, I seeded it by using a little bit of rock rubble and mud from the bottom of an Lfs live rock tank. IMO it is the same stuff just takes a little longer to get there. Not sure about the Iron thing.
