wouldn't care much for giants or the cowboys i'm a pit fan so i'm really just waiting for the commercials on superbowl day
The smart one out of all this was Romo, signing a new contract months ago when the Cowboys looked good beating up on losing teams. If he had waited until the off season to sign a new contract, after playing poorly the last few games, Jones would have given him about $20 million less.

Chris I didn't think the Giants and Packers where losing Teams? Come on Guys who wouldn't want to be in Romo's shoes? Women and money what else could a man want? Nothing like sitting in your leather couch watching the Super Bowl on your $10,000 TV, look over at your 500 gallon Reef aquarium with your arm around Jessica while she opens your Bud Light, works for me.(Sure glad my wife doesn't read MAAST)
From what I saw of the game Romo's play wasn't too bad. I saw him make some good scrambling throws and he didn't get sacked until the end of the game even though that O line started letting the defense through constantly. Now when he made those throws and the receivers drop the ball that's not the QB's problem. The one TD pass to Fasano actually bounced off the numbers on his jersey, and balls bouncing off Crayton's hands is just terrible. Now add to that Ware's penalties for off sides when the Giants were STOPPED and that continues their drive down for a TD and several other key high impact penalties and that equals a better team losing.
With you all the way on that one. A quaterback can only do so much if his offense is playing half ***. Have to say it, lol. Cant call your self a true Texan if you are not a cowboys fan. My family has been watching the cowboys since the beginning of the Franchise, so im a bit biased.

What's amazing is that offensive line dominated so many teams throughout the season and then just fell apart like that when they really needed to step it up. Flozel Adams just didn't even look like he was into the game the whole second half. Not sure if he was injured or just worn out but just not the same. As far as Romo goes, he had a good game for a change (his last month has sucked) and he's getting all the blame. He only had one interception at the end of the game when they were basically just having to take a shot at someone. The other that should have been intercepted wasn't his fault either, Glen just totally fell down on his route and at that time the ball was already on it's way. Should have been an easy pick actually. Then towards the end of the game (possibly on second or third down) when he threw to the end zone it looked like Crayton just completely slowed down right before going into the end zone for some reason. Had he stayed at full stride he may have actually had a play on the ball. Romo had some bad games but this wasn't one that was all on him.
I'm predicting Green Bay and New England in the Superbowl and Green Bay wins it making the whole 16-0 regular season not mean much more than we were good when we didn't need to be. Kind of like the Cowboys of the last month or so unfortunately.

My comment wasn't blaming Romo for the Cowboy's fall on Sunday. There are plenty to blame and after having a bad month worth of games, I think the finger pointing has to be aimed at the coaching staff for not having their players ready and having their heads in the game. I agree the offensive line fell asleep in the second half and Romo was forced to spend half the time dodging linebackers. Yeah, the receivers let a few passes get by them, but Romo also had some bad passes. He has been either way off or a little off each of the last few games, either throwing too short or too far from the receivers. Not sure if it's still his thumb or what.
Overall, I think Romo is an OK QB, not a great one. I don't think he has earned the comparisons to Aikmen or any of the other greats though. Not yet anyways, still need a few more years and some actual PLAYOFF experience that comes from something other than losing in the first round. The media overhypes him. I sure wish the sports media would just cover the games and leave the who's dating who junk to Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood!
As far as being a Cowboys fan, I was born here, been a fan since I was a kid, and will always be a fan.

Lets start a conspiricy: the league did not want the cowboys in the bowl so the league made a deal by putting all of them in the pro bowl and in return they would throw the game on Sunday. Tony Romo said he wanted more so they threw in a weekend with Jessica Simpson in Mexico?
