Unless your dog has a strong pedigree and preferably a show record, I'd strongly discourage you in this. IF you got your dog from a reputable breeder, it should have a decent pedigree. However, it's also likely that the breeder restricted your ability to breed/register your dog without his/her consent. You also REALLY need to have your dog OFA and CERF certified (hips and eyes) before breeding. Any reputable stud owner will require that - and as a working dog, it's only right that you make sure your dog isn't passing on serious faults.
BTW, there is absolutely NO money in backyard dog breeding. Just have one sick litter, and you'll easily see mid 4 figure vet bills. Raising a litter of puppies isn't for the faint at heart!
