Ace, you are the man. I was hoping someone (you in particular) would do this! You are going to do an acrylic box for it instead of just silicone right? I think I would trust that more. D-I-Y

Ace - I have a Logitech webcam that was used once and then I bought a laptop with built in webcame. I will trade for a frag. I don't have a USB extension cable though. It has a tripod stand that is about 8" or so high and a clip that you can use.

I have one... But I just bought it and plan to use it. I think it was less than $20 online, and it's 15' long. DO be aware that it's recommended that USB cables not be longer than 15'. For a camera, it might not matter though...

Bought mine to hook up a laptop to the boat's nav equipment.

Do not use one without a repeater if it's over 15'. There are some that are powered at Altex.

over 15' will require a repeater. the signal quality significantly degrades after 15', even in usb2.0

This is awsome!! I knew someone would just have to do this. I can't wait to see
To be or not to be? That is the Question. Or is it, To reef or not to reef?
