HALF BODIED FISH??

Do you have a powerhead? Maybe some inverts like a coral banded shrimp?

i dohave a powerhead (koralia) and no coral banded shrimps only the cleanershrimps

Powerhead is a good idea. If it got sucked in there it definatley could have caused that. Good idea dmweise!

i thought about the powerhead but, if the fish got sucked in it would of had probably been head first, or if it was rear first then it would be mangled up and in this case, it seems like a very fine cut.

what could have done that...

...maybe you have one of those monster worms hiding in your tank.

that about that two. about 2 nights ago i completely turned off all the lights and the moonlights, and boy did i see a lot of bristle worms, and other type of worms about 2-3 different kind of worms. some pretty big considering that the tank has only been cycling for 2 months already.

Any "clicking" noises in the tank at night?

i mainly work at night so not around to listen to any clicking noises, but when i am off i don't recall hearing any.... but if so what would those "clicking" noises be?

Ummm that looks like it hurt maybe Is it still eating ??? its a damsel it should be fine there hard to kill

Holy cow! That is crazy! The only thing I can think of is if all the other fish started picking on this one for some reason.

no, really don't think so because, fish will start eating from random spots and this one looks like a sliced or big bite, which i absolutely have no fish big enough to cause that.
