Oh yeah, and when they let go its usually like a bomb going off. We run them on methanol so when your *** is on fire it's hard for anyone to really know...that is until they see the driver flipping out.

There are certain things we check after every pass. Valvetrain especially, sometimes a leak-down check, look for metal particles in the oil filter, we look at a bunch of data after every pass, depends on how the run went. We usually know what the car is going to run to within about +/- .01 seconds....if its far off of that we may tear it down further depending on how much time we have. Feels like work but it's fun to drive a car that'll scare the **** out of you.

Sounds like a lot of fun for sure. I'm sure all that power inches away from your head is a trip.
