Hooking them onto the main system is not advisable since the temperature recommendations for seahorse tanks are so much lower than reef tnaks (brrr- I hate trimming the macro in my seahorse tank lol) Also seahorses can easily get bacterial infections etc. from fish so separate water supply would be preferable
Hmm so I guess seahorses are a no go. What about pipefish? I do run my reef sort of hot 79-80 in the summer.
Maybe pipefish/mandarin in the smaller and predators in the larger?
