1959 Bel Air
2009 Malibu
Uh, did the 59 Bel Air even have seat belts? As a auto claims guy, I bet the safety rating of the Malibu is a little better.

The old car will increase your injury claim over the new car. Personally I would rather be uninjured then have a big pile on money, a small pile is just fine.
As to the MB being the better then others. There is some truth to that, MB and Volvo both make their uni-bodies different then everyone else, which is why they are the safest cars on the road.

not discounting MB in any way. this post didnt start out with anything MB. my point was mainly that engineering in modern vehicles will blow your mind. it blew mine!!
uh.... i see all kinds of wrecked cars every day. thousands and thousands in the last 6 yrs at KB cad hummer saab. everything from kia to maybach and mini to H1 alpha. the malibu is a great car as well as anything else that gets me from a to b safely. by the way what did you vote for before seeing the data? i chose the 1959 Bel Air honestly.
