But we have to be careful of high nutrient side effects.

As for alk, any reason you wanted it less then 9?

I lowered the alk because of the side affects with alk that high and the pellets being active and some of the sps lost skin mid coral. So I'm trying to get alk stable at a lower level for now and then wean the tank off pellets. I want to get 3 to 5 nit and a .02 phos if possible. Then hopefully everything will color up better and grow a bit better instead of being starved. I already have cyano and once the nit are higher than the phos that should go away.

I want to add that I did pull the biopellets offline and will see if there is a change of colors and growth and health in the tank.

Only change I see is there is a white at the bottom of the coral and don't know if it's growth or its receding.

Alton and I seen the same thing. I'm guessing it is typical response from this coral. I have other issues, but yours is looking good

Thanks, I'm seeing it on some of my acros too but due to me dropping alk and not keeping it stable.

Have you found the correct Bio Pellets yet? I am leaving my reactor off until you get yours working again.

I should have stayed with ecobak plus and used a portion of what I ran. I feel ecobak is the way to go. But I'm going to see if I can get my nit up to 5 or a little higher and see how my corals react.
