Default My new gorgeous Morphed acro tort !!!!

I am one of those persons and like to keep double of pretty much every of my favorite top acros in my system from different sources just to see how they respond to different light level and also in case if one dies I have back up . Alright cut story short I have originally purchased Oregon tort from three different sources about a year ago . One was kept in the middle of the tank and other was kept low on the sand bed just to see how they react to different lights . As I do have an over kill light source 8 bulb t5 for my system and running mostly white in them .
    ORA Oregon Tort
My photo skills are not great or excuse me that's the best pic I could take with my old canon Xti
Any ways pics above is of Ora Oregon tort dead dead slow grower and this is my mini colony about 2.5"x 2.5". It's is so slow grower that i cannot even notice a growth if I don't take pics and compare em on monthly basis . Blue body all the way from base to the top and also dark dark blue corallites and extremely healthy and very hardy. Not a strong light demander and does well in medium to strong light .

There are also few different Oregon tort floating around online including dfS DD that sells em all claiming to come from same source . I don't remember where did I buy this from because I had three different frags of Oregon tort from three different sources including DD blue tort claiming to be an Oregon tort . This particular coral pictured below suppose to be an OT grew fast but showed different colors . I went ahead and chopped my colony in four different mini colony's and kept em all in different places in my tank . After few arguments and days passed I was convinced it's not the Oregon tort but showed signs of Cali tort . Apparently this acro kept morphing and now looks like one of its own kind .

It has not a typical green body and with purple Huey bluish tips and looks absolutely amazing in my tank . This acros has hold this morphed for about a good 4 months now and I am convinced with won't change now. Since I can't call this acro OT or CAlit tort , I will call this Luckys Tort 😀😀

I've noticed this as well in my tank. Each part of the tank offers a different Cali tort. In my system lower light around 100 par will give me that green hue. Just another reason why this is one of my favorite corals as well.
