Default bristle worms. good or bad?

ive read mixed reviews, but i wanted to get the final say from you guys.

ive had this tank well over a year and this is the first time ive noticed and ive have SO many. it actually crept me out a bit. i thought they were all attached to one body. anyhoo....

there looks to be maybe 10 and some are only an inch or two and others seem to be close to 4 inches, if not more.

also, would this have anything to do with my bubble hammer head dying off along with my seahare? i had the seahare only a few days and BAM! he was gone without a trace.

i think that one saying can go along with fish tanks too.

the two best days in the life of a fish tank are the day you buy the tank and the day you sell the tank.

I think if they are controlled they are ok but I'm sure some will disagree.

They are a good part of your CUC. We used to pull them when they got "too" big though. Get something that eats them, will help control them. We got an arrow crab, which was cool. I would find him the big ones with tweezers and toss them to him. He would catch them and cut them in half and eat them. Several fish species will eat them too.

I have heard people say they can irritate corals, but we didn't experience that. Doubtful they caused the demise of your sea hare, but they probably helped clean him up once he was dead. Just my opinion and we all know what that is worth... 2 cents.

I agree with Mike. They are a good addition to your clean up. They also give you the opportunity to add a worm eating critter or fish to your tank to help control their population.
