Sorry haven't replied been really busy lately. You will have to go on the web to see the manufactures spec sheet for tensile strenght it should be listed there. And no you dont have to take the glass apart just figure out what side of the corner will not cut into the glass to glass joint to get the old silicone without going between the glass. If your leaking at the corners on the bottom my guess is you waited to long and the silicone you applied on the first seam may have skimmed over. There is a very short working time with the stuff I used. By the time you applied the seal to the other side on the bottom it had air bubbles in it of did not adheare correctly.
