    Default Phosphate reactor

Hello everyone, so really just a general question here if anyone has experience with phosphate reactors. I've been out of town for sometime and my wife was doing great job topping off the tank and doing some water changes. But I hadn't shown her how to check the the RODI unit and well.... it was way past time for some new filters...

Anyway we are about 50ppb now on the phosphates and I purchased the Two little fishies Phosban Reactor 550 so after I get this baby setup how long until I can expect to see any sign of declining levels?

Do not worry all the livestock is good and all moved out to smaller holding tanks until we get the level back down.

    Default Phosphate reactor

Would recommend less media than what Manufacturer suggests....lowering too quickly is not good

I'm must posting back to this in case anyone else has the same question... my phosphates were just over 170ppb about 6 weeks ago. I did 3 separate 50% water changes over the course of about a week which did bring them down to about 50ppb. They were starting to climb back up (I can only assume it's leaching out of the rocks and sand) until I introduced the reactor with 1 cup of GFO, after only 2 days I have dropped to 15ppb. Total water volume is approximately 300G including sump and fuge.
