I have an aquarium at work with about 15 pounds of live rock in it. I also have a 90 gallon at home that I am cycling right now. I have 110 pounds of base rock in the DT, and 30 pound of base rock in the refugium. I am thinking about removing the live rock from my work tank and turning that into a frag tank/grow out tank to feed my home tank. My question is this, I dont want to add the LR to my DT because I know it has hitchikers, I have seen bristle worms, and asternia stars, and some other snails. If I add this live rock straight to my refugium, would the beneficial bacteria spread to my DT? If that would work, it would keep the hitchikers in the sump where they belong and keep my DT pest free, in theory at least...
