    Default what now...

I have been losing my fish to disease(2 clowns, rabitt fish), think it was ich and am down to my last fish which is a diamond goby(no signs of sickness, very active and eats good). If he doesn't make it I am going to let the tank run fallow for a couple months. here are my questions.

Do I have to remove my snails, hermits, peppermint shrimp, scarlett skunk shrimp for it to run fallow?
If the goby doesnt die, how long should I wait before i try and add another fish?
If the goby doesnt die, does that mean the ich is gone after a certain amount of time?

FYI, 75 gallon tank has only been up and running a couple months. I started with bacteria start up solution, 100lbs of live sand, 45lbs of live rock, 45 of dry rock, wp-25, running a reef octopus 1000sss protein skimmer, sump(15 gal) with chainsaw/saw blade caulerpa in the refugium which is growing good, sicce 3.0 return pump, ro/di water, ehiem heaters...plan to install a UV light today and just received my hanna phosphate checker so I will check that too.

I was so worried about water parameters, never thought disease would be my downfall. ammonia 0, nitrate 0,nitrite 0, salinity 1.024, temperature 77.9 ,ph 8.0, using red sea test kits, milwakee refractometer, coditions all looked good to me and would match my LFS when they checked samples of my water.

Tried a treatment of PrazziPro with no luck, did a 20% water change, ran the skimmer and carbon a few days to clear that out. Then tried Herbtana treatment, recomendation from another LFS with no luck.

Any help would greatly be appreciated, getting frustrated...

    Thanks,
    John

If it is or was ich the way I treated my 29 gallon biocube last year when I had an outbreak and lost all of the fish was to run a uv light and ran the tank fishless for 3-1/2 months. It hasn't returned since then and I now have 5 fish in there. I am sure there are chemical ways to get it done quicker but I chose to let nature run it's course. If that is the route you go then your inverts will be fine.
