Default canister filters with fowl question.

Have any of you kept a fowl tank with a canister filter. I'm really interested trying this. I have a sump but eh between the over flow box, the vibration from the mag.9 ide just rather try something else.

We have a canister filter on our 20g tank. It is rated for 100g, so works well. It basically acts like a large media reactor. I have live rock rubble, carbon, and filter floss.

I read about people having to clean it out once a week. Is that realistic cause i don't see myself doing that.

I did the same thing as Mike. I had a fluval canister rated for 100g on a 55 gallon but I also had coral.

I've used 2 magnum 350s on my dads 110g but since then have switched to dual emporer 400 powerfilters with chemi-pure.
