Dosing help please
So my Alk is setting at 6ppm and I want to get it to 9ppm and my mag is at 1120ppm and I want it at 1350ppm. So I already know how to does by breaking it up into two days. My question is which one should I raise first? Should I bring up the alk first or the mag or do them both at the same time?

I would slowly bring alk up with a good two part dosing product. When I started out esv b-ionic worked great, you can raise mag at the same time but do it slowly. Just dose by directions, as soon as you hit levels test every 24hrs see how much it drops and get estimate on what your daily use it. Always dose only what you can test.

Thanks. I have a dosing pump now that I'm going to start using once I get the levels adjusted. I'm using the BRS 2 part so I'll be breaking up the alk and mag dose over the next 2 days.

Does the BRS 2 part last a long time once mixed? I've had mine well over a year and was wondering if I should mix a new batch before dosing.

I'm not sure how long is lasts post mix since I usually go through a gallon in about 6-8 weeks. I raised my mag around 400ppm in about 2 days (didn't mean to do it quite that fast), didn't seem to affect anything though. My pumps dose alk/cal 5x daily spread out to minimize any sort of fluctuations. The BRS videos on dosing say to just dump the mag in.
